The Everyday Hero Manifesto Book

The Everyday Hero Manifesto: Activate Your Positivity, Maximize Your Productivity, Serve the World by Robin Sharma is memoir/self help hybrid book. It probably would have been slightly more successful if he chose one or the other path but it still wasn’t enough to put me off the book.

I liked it so much that I was disappointed when I finished it. Sure it has some flaws but I was using the book for a very specific purpose and it did it’s job well! I wake up ridiculously early each morning and I like to start the day with reading something ridiculously positive and motivational. Later on in the day I can read about geopolitics or something else equally depressing but my first twenty minutes of everyday is sacred. You mess with my first waking minutes at your own risk.

So I was starting each day with reading a chapter from The Everyday Hero Manifesto. There’s literally 101 chapters in the book, some of them very short, but every one of them was filled with densely packed paragraphs of positive words. It didn’t bother me when he was getting a little too biographical or talking about a story that I didn’t relate to because he still shoved as many positive words into each sentence that he could. I’m really missing this book and I’ll probably read it again next year.

Who is the book for?

If you’re a Robin Sharma fan then you’ll love it as he shares some of his personal life and throws in a whole bunch of his systems and theories used in his coaching, seminars, and educational material. I’ve only read the 5AM Club so I wouldn’t call myself a Robin Sharma fan but I still really enjoyed the book. Start your day positively with a chapter like I did and you can thank me later.

7 Star Book Review

Quotes from The Everyday Hero Manifesto Book

Life loves those everyday heroes who understand that they possess abilities, capabilities and the force to shape all events that destiny carefully places on their path. Robin Sharma

The words you use have major force fields around them, attracting outcomes that resonate with them the way magnets draw iron filings to them. Also know that the words we use each day reveal our most entrenched beliefs to everyone around us, even if those beliefs don’t serve us (they may even be pure lies that someone we trusted early in our lives taught us). Robin Sharma

Oh yes, whether you accept this or not, you are a lion, not a sheep. A leader, never a victim. A person worthy of exceptional accomplishment, uplifting adventure, flawless contentment and the self-respect that, over time, rises steeply into a reservoir of self-love that no one and no thing can ever conquer. You are a mighty force of nature and a dynamic producer, not a slumbering casualty caught flat-footed in a world of degrading mediocrity, dehumanizing complaint, compliance and entitlement. Robin Sharma

Fundamental personal change is often painful because it is so very transformational. And we cannot become everything we are meant to be without leaving behind who we once were. Robin Sharma

Life really does favor the obsessed. Great fortune truly does shine on those mesmerized by their gorgeous ambitions. And the universe most definitely supports the human being unwilling to surrender to the forces of fear, rejection and self-doubt. Robin Sharma
